Pursuing Zero Defects: Gaoshan Valves Convenes August Quality Analysis Meeting to Spearhead September “Quality Month” Initiatives

At the end of August, the Quality Inspection Department of Gaoshan Valves organized and convened the August Quality Analysis and Summary Meeting. Chaired by Mr. Sun Huafu, Director of Quality Inspection, and attended by Mr. Li Yanzhao, Vice President of Technology, alongside key personnel from the Technology and Quality Inspection departments, the session was dedicated to reviewing quality milestones and charting the course for technical upgrades.
During the meeting, Director Sun presented extensive data-driven insights evaluating incoming materials, in-process inspections, and after-sales quality feedback for August. The company’s overall metrics significantly outperformed internal baseline standards, with seven core indicators exceeding expectations. Notably, the net finished product rate in the iron casting workshop reached 97.02% (exceeding target by 3.42%), while the one-time inspection pass rate hit a remarkable 98.9% (exceeding target by 1.9%). Additionally, the premium product rate and first-class product rate reached 65.5% and 82.9% respectively, verifying the high efficiency of our total quality control (TQC) systems.
Upholding a rigorous standard of transparency, the management also addressed specific floor-level technical challenges. Detailed root-cause analyses were conducted regarding casting surface clarity, valve body fettling protection, flange machining vibration lines, and assembly cleanliness (such as de-burring and debris removal). The stabilization and upgrade of the net finished product rate for stainless steel valves were designated as key corrective actions for the upcoming cycle.
Mr. Li Yanzhao, Vice President of Technology, highlighted that September 2025 marks the nation’s 48th official “Quality Month.” Moving forward, Gaoshan Valves will operate under the guiding principles of “Strengthening Quality Awareness, Driving Technical Innovation, and Upgrading Management Excellence.” To target the identified focus areas, the company has declared three major campaign targets for September: Casting Quality Elevation, Coating/Painting Process Upgrades, and Precision Machining Optimization, aiming firmly at a “Zero Defects” manufacturing goal.
In September, through stricter compliance, more refined management, and solid execution, Gaoshan Valves will continue to elevate its flow control products to new international quality frontiers.
