Z941H/Z941Y Motor Operated Wedge Gate Valve
- Motorized operation — multi-turn electric actuator replaces manual handwheel; supports ON-OFF switching and 4–20mA modulating control for remote pipeline automation
- Proven valve body — identical hard-sealed wedge gate valve platform to the Z41HY series, same zero-leakage 2Cr13/Stellite metal seat performance
- SCADA and DCS ready — actuator provides open/closed position feedback, torque sensing, and manual override; easily integrated into plant-wide control systems
- Full pressure coverage — PN16 to PN100 with temperature capability up to 425°C (WCB) or 550°C (Cr-Mo steel)
- Three body material choices — ductile cast iron, WCB cast steel, or chrome-moly alloy steel; plus Z941W stainless steel variant for corrosive media
- Flanged ends, bolted bonnet — compatible with global flange standards; safe access for packing inspection without removing the valve
- Factory tested to API 598 — every valve undergoes shell and seat pressure testing before shipment; full traceability and material certificates provided

High-Temperature Media
The Z941HY motor operated gate valve combines the heavy-duty wedge gate valve body of the Z41HY series with a robust multi-turn electric actuator, delivering reliable automated on/off control for high-pressure and high-temperature pipeline systems. Designed for remote or unattended operation, this valve eliminates the need for manual handwheel operation while maintaining the same hard-sealed metal seat performance as its manual counterpart.
The Z941H series utilizes a 2Cr13 stainless steel hard-faced seat for robust metal-to-metal sealing, while the Z941Y series features a Stellite hard-faced seat for enhanced erosion and corrosion resistance in severe service conditions. The Z941W series is furnished with a stainless steel body and seat (CF8/CF8M), making it ideal for corrosive media such as acids, alkalis, and seawater. Body materials range from ductile cast iron for standard water applications to WCB cast steel and chrome-moly alloy steel for high-pressure steam and thermal oil systems.
With comprehensive pressure ratings from PN16 to PN100 and sizes from DN40 to DN500, the Z941HY gate valve is the ideal choice for power plant steam lines, petrochemical process control, municipal water distribution automation, and oil & gas transmission systems requiring centralized valve control. All valves are manufactured in compliance with GB/T 12234, API 600, and ASME B16.34 standards, with shell and seal test pressures verified per API 598.
Main body materials are identical to the Z41HY series. Refer to Z41H-16Q / 16C / 25 / 40 / 63 / 100 and Z41Y-16I / 25I for detailed part specifications.

- Install with flow direction as marked on the valve body. Ensure adequate overhead clearance for the electric actuator during installation and maintenance.
- Ensure flange mating surfaces are clean and free of scratches before bolting. Use gaskets compatible with the operating medium and temperature.
- Do not lift the valve by the actuator. Always lift by the valve body using proper slings to avoid actuator or stem damage.
- Before first operation, verify actuator power supply (typically AC 380V / 220V / 440V, 50/60Hz) and confirm correct phase rotation for proper open/close direction.
- For high-temperature steam service (Z941H-40/63/100 and Z941Y series), perform a slow warm-up before full-pressure operation to prevent thermal shock to the actuator mounting.
- Inspect stem packing annually and retighten the gland bolts evenly if minor leakage is observed. Replace packing when retightening no longer achieves seal.
- Keep the actuator enclosure sealed and protected from moisture ingress. Verify the heater or dehumidifier function in humid environments to prevent internal condensation.
- Periodically test the manual override function and check limit switch / torque switch settings to ensure reliable remote operation and over-travel protection.
