The BQ360H Welded Eccentric Semi-Ball Valve is a specialized pipeline valve developed by Gaoshan Valve for high-temperature, high-pressure, and particulate-laden media applications. Featuring butt-welded end connections, this valve eliminates all external leakage paths, making it ideal for buried pipelines, district heating networks, and critical industrial processes where zero fugitive emissions are required. The eccentric semi-ball design combines the tight shut-off of a ball valve with the compact structure of a butterfly valve, delivering reliable on-off service for water, steam, oil, dust-laden gas, and particulate slurry.

Key Advantages

Zero External Leakage

Full butt-welded connections to the pipeline eliminate flange gasket and bolting leak paths. Ideal for buried service, district heating, subsea pipelines, and hazardous media where fugitive emissions are unacceptable.

Dual Hard Alloy Sealing

The seat is surfaced with D507 hard alloy and the semi-ball disc with D577 hard alloy — providing exceptional wear resistance against particulate erosion and high-temperature durability up to 425°C.

Self-Compensating Eccentric Seal

The eccentric rotation ensures the disc surface and seat make contact only at the fully closed position, eliminating sliding friction during travel. Micro-wear is automatically compensated, maintaining zero-leakage performance over extended service life.

Low Torque Operation

The eccentric design and self-lubricating stem bearings minimize operating torque. Combined with the worm gear drive, large-diameter valves up to DN1000 can be operated smoothly by a single person.

Structure & Dimensions

The BQ360H welded eccentric semi-ball valve features a one-piece WCB carbon steel body with butt-welded end preparation. The upper and lower 2Cr13 stainless steel stems support the WCB+D577 hard alloy semi-ball disc, which seals against a WCB+D507 hard alloy seat. Flexible graphite packing and seat gasket provide reliable stem and body joint sealing. The valve is driven by a manual worm gearbox mounted via a WCB connection bracket, with electric and pneumatic actuation available as options.

Installation Guidelines

  • Ensure pipe ends are properly beveled and aligned before welding to prevent stress on valve body
  • Perform welding only with the valve in the fully open position to avoid heat damage to sealing surfaces
  • Post-weld heat treatment (PWHT) may be required per piping specification — consult factory for guidelines
  • Flush pipeline thoroughly before commissioning to remove weld slag, debris, and particulates
  • Provide adequate clearance above the valve for worm gear handwheel operation
  • For electric/pneumatic actuated versions, ensure clearance for actuator removal during maintenance
  • Acoustic or radiographic inspection of field welds is recommended per applicable piping code

Packaging & Shipping

Each valve is individually packed with protective end caps over the weld bevels, sealed in a poly bag with desiccant, and secured in a plywood case or export-standard wooden crate. Large-size valves (DN≥600) are shipped on steel pallets with lifting lugs installed. All shipments include a packing list, material certificate, and test report. We support FOB, CIF, DAP, and other Incoterms.
