Core Strengths

Zero-Leakage Rubber Soft Seal
Equipped with a high-grade resilient rubber sealing ring on the disc periphery that conforms to the body seat surface under reverse pressure, achieving bubble-tight shutoff even after thousands of cycles. Ideal for applications where any backflow is unacceptable.
Quick-Response Double Half-Disc Design
Two lightweight spring-loaded half-discs pivot independently on center hinge pins. The reduced mass of each half-disc means lower inertia and faster closure than full-disc swing valves, virtually eliminating water hammer before it can develop.
Space-Saving Wafer Body
At only 43 mm face-to-face for DN50 and 178 mm for DN600, the ultra-slim wafer body fits directly between standard pipe flanges using existing bolts. Replaces bulky flanged check valves without requiring additional pipeline modifications or support structures.
Low Flow Resistance
Both half-discs retract fully into the wafer body when the valve is in the open position, creating a straight-through flow passage with minimal turbulence and pressure loss. Highly energy-efficient for high-volume continuous-flow water and sewage networks.
Dual Material Body Options
Choose WCB cast carbon steel for general water and sewage service, or upgrade to SS304 stainless steel for sea water, brackish water, and mildly corrosive environments. Both options share the same compact dimensions for drop-in interchangeability.
Wide DN Range up to DN600
Available across the full DN50–DN600 spectrum at both PN10 and PN16 pressure ratings, making it a one-stop wafer check solution for municipal water supply, wastewater treatment, seawater intake, and large air duct backflow prevention systems.

Product Overview

The H76X wafer double half-disc swing check valve with rubber soft seal is engineered for water, sewage, sea water, and air service where reliable bubble-tight backflow prevention is an absolute requirement. Its innovative split-disc design features two spring-assisted half-discs mounted on independent center hinge pins housed within an ultra-compact wafer body. Rubber sealing rings bonded to each half-disc press firmly against the machined body seat under reverse pressure—achieving zero-leakage shutoff that hard-seal metal check valves cannot guarantee. Available in WCB carbon steel for standard service or SS304 stainless steel for corrosive water and seawater duty, the H76X spans DN50 through DN600 with pressure ratings of PN10 and PN16. Operating temperature ranges from -10°C to 120°C. Both horizontal and vertical installation orientations are supported.

Design & Manufacturing Standards

  • Design Standard: GB/T 12236
  • Face-to-Face Dimensions: GB/T 12221
  • Flange Standards: GB/T 9113, JB/T 79, HG/T 20592
  • Testing & Inspection: GB/T 13927, JB/T 9092
  • Rubber Seal Material: NBR (Nitrile) or EPDM per customer specification
  • Applicable International Standards: API 594, ISO 5752 (optional)

Installation & Maintenance Guidelines

  • Wafer Clamping: Insert the wafer valve between two standard pipe flanges, align the valve bore with pipeline centerline, and clamp using the existing bolt set. Place full-face gaskets on both sides of the valve body to ensure flange-to-body sealing integrity.
  • Flow Direction Verification: The valve body is marked with a cast-in flow direction arrow. Ensure the arrow points in the forward flow direction before tightening bolts. Reverse installation will prevent the half-discs from opening and may cause permanent seal damage.
  • Orientation Flexibility: Both horizontal and vertical pipe runs are fully supported. For vertical installations, ensure flow is upward to utilize gravity-assisted disc closure when pipeline velocity drops to zero.
  • Bolt Torque Sequence: Tighten flange bolts in a diagonal star pattern to compress the wafer body evenly. Over-torquing can distort the thin wafer body and bind the hinge mechanism. Follow flange-specific torque tables for the bolt grade and gasket type in use.
  • Rubber Seal Maintenance: Periodically inspect rubber sealing rings for swelling, cuts, abrasion, or permanent compression set. Replace seals showing signs of degradation. Ensure replacement seals match the original Shore hardness and rubber compound specification (NBR for general water, EPDM for hot water).
  • Hinge Pin Lubrication: Check hinge pins for free movement and apply compatible grease during scheduled maintenance. Sticky or corroded hinge pins delay disc closure and increase the risk of water hammer damage.
