Product Overview

The J941H / J941Y series is a flanged electric globe valve that combines the precise throttling characteristics of a globe valve with the convenience of electric actuator automation. Designed for remote control and automated piping systems, this series replaces manual handwheels with integrated electric actuators available in multiple torque classes (Z10 to Z180) matched to each pressure class and valve size. The rising stem design retains visual position indication while enabling full automation through standard 4–20mA control signals.

A key design advantage is the no-rub seating principle: the disc sealing surface lifts clear of the seat during opening and closing travel, preventing abrasive wear between metal surfaces. This dramatically extends maintenance intervals compared to traditional sliding-seat globe valves. The valve body features excellent rigidity and structural integrity suitable for high-pressure differential service, while the expanded graphite stem packing ensures leak-free operation even under severe temperature cycling.

Available from PN16 to PN160 with body materials covering ductile iron (QT450), WCB carbon steel, austenitic stainless steel (1Cr18Ni9Ti/CF8), duplex stainless steel (12Ni18Mo2Ti/CF8M), and chrome-molybdenum alloy steel (Cr5MO) for temperatures up to 550°C. Special variants include J941W-16P (stainless steel) for nitric acid service and J941Y-16R for acetic acid corrosion resistance. Compliant with GB/T 12233 standards, this series is widely deployed in petrochemical plants, power generation stations, oil refining, chemical processing, fire protection, and water treatment facilities requiring automated flow regulation and shutoff.

Actuator Options & Control Features
  • Actuator torque class ranges from Z10-24 (small sizes) to Z180-24 (large sizes), precisely matched to each DN and PN combination.
  • Standard 4–20mA analog input for proportional control; on/off switching mode also available for isolation applications.
  • Large-diameter valves (typically ≥DN150) feature an impact handwheel override for manual emergency operation during power loss.
  • Optional accessories: position transmitter (feedback signal), limit switches (open/close indication), local control station.
  • Explosion-proof (Exd) actuator enclosure available for hazardous area installations (Zone 1/2).
Installation & Maintenance Notes
  • Install with flow direction matching the arrow cast on the valve body — globe valves are directional and will not seal properly if reversed.
  • Ensure adequate vertical clearance above the actuator for full stroke travel and future actuator removal/maintenance access.
  • Connect electrical supply according to actuator nameplate ratings. Use properly sized conduit and cable glands for environmental protection.
  • For steam service, install a steam trap and insulation downstream to prevent condensate hammer and heat loss near the actuator.
  • Periodically inspect expanded graphite packing for stem leakage. Re-tighten packing gland evenly in small increments — do not over-tighten.
Typical Applications
  • Automated Process Control Systems (DCS / SCADA Integration)
  • Petrochemical Refining & Chemical Processing Plants
  • Thermal Power Generation & Boiler Feedwater Systems
  • Oil & Gas Pipeline Remote Stations & Unmanned Facilities
  • Water Treatment & Desalination Plant Automation
  • HVAC Central Plant & District Heating Networks
