Z41 Series Wedge Gate Valve
- Wide pressure coverage — PN16 to PN100, one valve series for everything from low-pressure water to high-pressure steam
- Hard-sealed metal seat — 2Cr13 stainless steel or Stellite hard-faced wedge, built for zero-leakage shutoff in demanding conditions
- High-temperature ready — WCB cast steel handles up to 425°C; chrome-moly steel goes to 550°C for superheated steam
- Three body material options — ductile cast iron for cost-sensitive water lines, WCB for general industrial use, chrome-moly alloy for severe service
- Rising stem with visual indication — instant open/closed status at a glance, no guesswork on the job site
- Bolted bonnet construction — safe access for inspection and packing replacement without removing the valve from the pipeline
- Full-bore design — minimal pressure drop, no flow restriction, and easy pigging in oil & gas lines
- Flanged end connection — compatible with ANSI B16.5, BS 4504, and DIN flange standards for global project specs
- Certified quality — manufactured to API 600, GB/T 12234, and ASME B16.34; shell and seat tested per API 598
- Long service life — robust wedge guide design prevents seat scuffing during operation, cutting maintenance downtime

The Z41HY wedge gate valve is a heavy-duty industrial valve engineered for high-pressure and high-temperature pipeline systems. Featuring a bolted bonnet, rising stem, and flanged end connection, this valve is designed for on/off service in steam, oil, gas, water, and non-corrosive fluid applications across power plants, petrochemical facilities, oil refineries, and general industrial process lines.
The Z41H series utilizes a 2Cr13 stainless steel hard-faced seat for robust metal-to-metal sealing, while the Z41Y series features a Stellite hard-faced seat for enhanced erosion and corrosion resistance in severe service conditions. Body materials range from ductile cast iron for standard water applications to WCB cast steel and chrome-moly alloy steel for high-pressure steam and thermal oil systems.
With comprehensive pressure ratings from PN16 to PN100 and sizes from DN40 to DN500, the Z41HY gate valve meets the demands of municipal infrastructure, chemical processing, power generation, and oil & gas transmission. All valves are manufactured in compliance with GB/T 12234, API 600, and ASME B16.34 standards, with shell and seal test pressures verified per API 598.

- Install with flow direction as marked on the valve body. For horizontal pipelines, the handwheel should preferably face upward for easy access.
- Ensure flange mating surfaces are clean and free of scratches before bolting. Use gaskets compatible with the operating medium and temperature.
- Do not use the handwheel or stem as a lifting point. Always lift the valve by the body using proper slings to avoid bonnet or stem damage.
- Before first operation, fully open and close the valve several times to verify smooth stem movement and seat engagement.
- For high-temperature steam service (Z41H-40/63/100 and Z41Y series), perform a slow warm-up before full-pressure operation to prevent thermal shock.
- Inspect stem packing annually and retighten the gland bolts evenly if minor leakage is observed. Replace packing when retightening no longer achieves seal.
- Lubricate the stem threads and thrust bearing periodically with high-temperature grease to reduce operating torque and prevent galling.
